WorkSTEPS industrial therapy staff is led by Joseph Kleinkort, MA, PhD, PT, C.I.E. who has over 30 years of industrial rehabilitation experience. Drawing on the experiences of its therapy staff, and its industrial psychology and ADA/employment law departments, WorkSTEPS has developed an accelerated return to work program, called "ErgoGenesis", which utilizes objective employee functional capability data to establish measurable treatment goals, enabling quantification of patient improvement, treatment plan adjustment, and accelerated return to work. In implementation at Lockheed-Ft. Worth, a union shop of 15,000 employees, WorkSTEPS ErgoGenesis Program resulted in the reduction of the average treatment periods for necks, backs, and carpal tunnel injuries being reduced from in excess of one (1) year to under five (5) visits.
